Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. Who we are
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern access to and use of GetPolisha Verdict at verdict.getpolisha.com and related services (collectively, "Verdict"). GetPolisha Verdict is operated by GetPolisha, with a business location in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada ("we," "us," or "our").
Questions about these Terms or the Service can be sent to hellopolisha@outlook.com. Support is provided by email only.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, purchasing a package, uploading content, or otherwise using Verdict, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. If you use Verdict for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. What Verdict provides
Verdict is an AI-assisted career-document service. You may upload a resume or CV and submit a job description. The Service may analyze the materials, generate a match score or verdict category, explain perceived strengths and gaps, and produce suggested rewritten career documents for download in formats such as PDF or Word.
Verdict is a drafting and decision-support tool. It is not a recruiter, employment agency, lawyer, regulated immigration adviser, or guarantor of an interview, offer, salary, or other employment outcome.
4. AI processing and limitations
Verdict uses generative artificial intelligence, including Anthropic's Claude API, to process user-provided content and generate analysis and draft documents. AI output is probabilistic. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, inconsistent, biased, or unsuitable for a particular employer or purpose.
Scores, categories, and recommendations are automated assessments of submitted text. They are not statements of fact about you, an employer's actual decision criteria, or the likelihood of employment.
You must review every output before relying on, downloading, publishing, or submitting it. You remain responsible for the truth, accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of any job application or career document you use.
5. Truth and no-fabrication safeguards
Verdict is designed and instructed not to invent employers, job titles, dates, credentials, or other material facts that you did not provide. This is a product safeguard, not a guarantee that an AI system will never make an error or inference.
You must correct or remove any output that is inaccurate, misleading, unsupported, or not genuinely true of your experience. You must not ask the Service to fabricate qualifications or use an output you know is false or deceptive.
6. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep access credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards. Notify us promptly at hellopolisha@outlook.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may require reasonable verification before acting on an account, privacy, deletion, or refund request.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the resume, CV, job description, instructions, and other materials you submit (your "User Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process, adapt, and display User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights and lawful authority needed to submit User Content. Do not upload another person's confidential, sensitive, or personal information unless you are authorized to do so and the information is necessary for the Service.
8. Generated output
As between you and us, you may use, edit, and submit the generated reports and career documents created for you, subject to these Terms and applicable law. To the extent we own any intellectual-property rights in a specific generated output, we grant you a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that output for your personal or internal business purposes.
AI output may not be unique — other users may receive similar content. No ownership or exclusivity is granted in the underlying platform, models, prompts, scoring methods, software, trademarks, templates, or design system.
9. Purchases, prices, and taxes
Verdict offers one-time purchases, not subscriptions, unless a checkout page expressly states otherwise. The package name, price, included deliverables, and applicable taxes are shown before payment. Prices may change for future purchases but will not change a completed purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. Your bank or card issuer may impose separate charges or currency-conversion fees.
By completing a purchase, you request that digital processing begin immediately and acknowledge that delivery may begin before any otherwise applicable cancellation period expires. This acknowledgement does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Delivery
A paid analysis is delivered when the paid results and included downloadable documents are made available in your account or through the Service. Delivery times shown in the product are estimates unless expressly stated as guaranteed.
You are responsible for downloading and reviewing deliverables while they remain available. Our retention periods are described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Refunds
The Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. In summary, a purchase is generally final after successful delivery of the paid analysis. If a technical failure prevents delivery and we cannot successfully rerun or restore the purchased analysis within the period stated in the Refund Policy, we will provide a refund or other remedy required by law.
Nothing in these Terms or the Refund Policy limits a right or remedy available under applicable consumer-protection law.
12. Acceptable use
You must not use Verdict to:
- submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, or deceptive content;
- fabricate credentials, experience, identities, or employment records;
- probe, scan, bypass, or interfere with security or access controls;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract the Service except where applicable law does not permit that restriction;
- upload malware or use automated traffic that disrupts the Service;
- violate another person's privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, or other rights; or
- resell or represent the Service as your own without written permission.
13. Third-party services
Verdict relies on third-party service providers, including Anthropic for AI processing, Stripe for payments, Supabase for database, authentication, and storage services, and Vercel for hosting and delivery. Their services may be governed by separate terms and may experience interruptions outside our reasonable control.
Our use of personal information and processors is described in the Privacy Policy. A link to a third-party site does not mean we endorse or control that site.
14. Service changes and availability
We may maintain, update, add to, or discontinue Service features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Where a material change affects an undelivered paid purchase, we will provide the purchased deliverable, a reasonable substitute accepted by you, or a refund as required by the Refund Policy or law.
15. Intellectual property
Verdict, including its software, visual design, prompts, scoring logic, templates, documentation, names, logos, and other platform materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
16. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability, except where a warranty or condition cannot lawfully be excluded.
We do not warrant that a score, verdict, rewrite, or recommendation will be accurate, accepted by an employer, compatible with every applicant-tracking system, or effective in producing an employment outcome.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither we nor our directors, officers, employees, contractors, or service providers will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or loss of opportunity, employment, income, profits, data, goodwill, or reputation arising from or related to the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for the purchase giving rise to the claim; and (b) the total amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any non-waivable right or remedy under applicable consumer-protection or privacy law. A court may determine that additional limitations are unenforceable in a particular case.
18. Responsibility for unlawful content
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonably foreseeable claims arising directly from User Content you had no right to submit, or from your knowing use of Verdict for unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing activity. This section does not require a consumer to indemnify us for our own negligence, breach of law, or failure to perform the Service.
19. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and permanently delete your account at any time from Account settings, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your uploaded CVs, job descriptions, analyses, generated documents, and your login itself, as described in the Privacy Policy's retention schedule; certain payment and tax records are retained but detached from your account, as required by law.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risk, legal obligations, or a material breach of these Terms.
Termination does not eliminate rights or obligations that by their nature should survive, including payment obligations, ownership provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, subject to applicable law.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, or business practices. We will post the updated version and effective date. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights relating to a completed purchase without your consent, except where required by law.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts located in Ontario will have jurisdiction.
Before filing a claim, you and we agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the issue by contacting the other party. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a complaint process available from a regulator.
22. General
If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a bona fide reorganization, financing, merger, or sale, subject to applicable law and continued protection of personal information.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and the purchase details shown at checkout form the agreement relating to the Service. If checkout terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific checkout term controls for that purchase, unless prohibited by law.
